Leicester /ˈlɛstər/ LES-tər is a town in Livingston County, New York, United States. The population was 2,200 at the 2010 census. The town is named after Leicester Phelps, an early inhabitant.The Town of Leicester is on the west border of the county. The town has a village also named Leicester within itself. Leicester is west of Geneseo.
